Qualifications: Our practitioners are trained and certified as Reiki Masters and have undergone mentorship in various spiritual healing techniques. However, it is important to note that these certifications are not recognized as licensed medical qualifications by the state. Practitioners use their hands to transfer healing energy to their clients, either through light touch or by placing their hands just above the body.
  • What is Holy Fire III Reiki?
    Holy Fire III Reiki is a powerful form of Reiki introduced by the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT). It combines traditional Usui Reiki with additional energies that bring deep healing and purification. Holy Fire Reiki is known for its ability to heal deeply and quickly, and for its gentle yet powerful energy. It promotes harmony, reduces stress, and connects individuals to their spiritual source. Holy Fire III Reiki can be used for self-healing, healing others, and even distance healing.
  • Is Reiki a religion?
    No, Reiki is not a religion. It is a spiritual practice that can be used by people of all beliefs and backgrounds. While Reiki may involve a connection to spiritual energies, it does not require adherence to any specific religious doctrine or belief system.
  • Does Reiki go against the Bible?
    Reiki is not a religious practice and does not go against any particular faith, including Christianity. It is a form of energy healing that involves channeling life force energy to promote well-being. Many people of faith, including Christians, use Reiki as a complementary healing practice. Reiki can be seen as a form of divine energy that works to restore balance and promote healing.
  • What can I expect during a Reiki session?
    During a Reiki session, the primary goals include clearing away unwanted energies, balancing the chakra system, and promoting relaxation of the mind and body. Sessions are performed fully clothed, and there is no muscle manipulation involved like in massage therapy. Each session begins with an intake discussion to understand your concerns and goals. You’ll then lie on a massage table, where the session begins with smudging, or other energy clearing technique, and a chakra check. Reiki energy is channeled through light touch at some points and hands placed above the body at others. You may also experience other healing techniques such as the use of crystals, sound, and angelic energies. Afterward, you’ll feel calm and renewed, with time for a brief post-session consultation to discuss your experience. Click the button below to learn more.
  • What if I’m sensitive to smoke or smells? Are there alternatives to smudging?
    Yes! While I often use traditional smudging with smoke (such as sage or palo santo) to cleanse energy during sessions, I also offer smoke-free alternatives. If you have allergies, sensitivities, or simply prefer not to use smoke, I can use smudge sprays, sound healing, or other energy-clearing methods to achieve the same cleansing effect. Please let me know your preferences during the intake discussion.
  • Can I receive a remote Reiki session?
    Yes! I offer distance Reiki sessions, which are just as effective as in-person sessions. We’ll schedule a time for your session, and I will send Reiki energy to you remotely, followed by a post-session discussion to reflect on the experience.
  • How do your Reiki 1 & 2 classes differ from others?
    Reiki classes can vary greatly in structure and depth. Some lower-cost classes are pre-recorded, on-demand, and last only a couple of hours. My Reiki 1 & 2 class is a comprehensive two-day intensive designed to give you in-depth, hands-on experience with Reiki. You’ll receive personalized instruction, opportunities to practice in real time, and direct guidance from me, a Professional Member of the ICRT (International Center for Reiki Training). The course also includes thorough coverage of Reiki principles, ethics, and techniques, as well as support and feedback tailored to your growth. This level of training provides a solid foundation for your Reiki practice that shorter, pre-recorded classes simply can’t offer.
  • Do I need prior experience for a Reiki class?
    No prior experience is necessary to take Reiki 1 & 2. My Reiki 1 & 2 class is designed for beginners, so whether you’re new to energy healing or have some experience, you’ll be guided through the foundational teachings. You’ll learn how to channel Reiki energy and perform Reiki on yourself, others, and even at a distance. Advanced classes, like Reiki Master and Animal Reiki, do have prerequisites.
  • Are your courses live or pre-recorded?
    Our Reiki workshops are live for hands-on learning. Other spiritual courses are pre-recorded and available on-demand for self-paced learning. Occasionally, we also offer live classes on topics like pendulum use and energy clearing.
  • How are the workshops structured?
    Reiki workshops are typically divided into instruction, demonstrations, and practice sessions. You’ll have time to learn the techniques, see them in action, and practice with fellow students in a supportive environment.
  • How many students are in each workshop?
    To ensure personalized attention, we keep our class sizes small, with a maximum of 4 students per workshop. This allows for focused, individualized instruction and plenty of time to practice.
  • What can I expect during a Reiki workshop?
    Each Reiki workshop includes a mix of instruction, hands-on practice, and group discussions. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions, practice Reiki techniques, and connect with fellow students. The workshops are designed to give you a solid foundation and confidence in your practice.
  • Is the Reiki certification recognized by any organizations?
    Yes, the Reiki certification you receive from me is recognized by the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT), one of the most respected organizations in the Reiki community. As a Professional Member of the ICRT, I teach the same style of Reiki using their training manual. Upon completing the course, you are eligible to become a member of the Reiki Membership Association (RMA). Please note that to join the RMA, you must be a Reiki Master Teacher. If you have taken Reiki I&II and ART/Master from an ICRT Licensed Reiki Master Teacher (LRMT), you qualify for professional membership.   • Why are there additional teachers in the Reiki class?
    Practitioners from Soul-Smudge may assist in the class to enhance the learning experience and provide extra support. I am the lead instructor for most Reiki workshops and will personally guide the class and sign off on certifications. If another practitioner is leading a class, we will clearly indicate who the lead instructor is beforehand.
  • How do I register and pay for a Reiki class?
    To register for a Reiki class, visit the "Sacred Learning" or "Explore Our Classes" section on our website. There, you’ll find details on upcoming workshops and a link to the registration page. Payment is required at the time of registration to secure your spot. We offer payment plans for workshops, so you can either pay in full or choose to pay in installments. Once registered, you’ll receive confirmation. Access to any pre-class materials is given approximately 2 weeks prior to the start of class. Registered students will receive an email 2 weeks prior to class with instructions for accessing the materials.
  • Can I perform Reiki after Level 1 & 2?
    Yes! After completing the two-day Reiki 1 & 2 class, you will be fully attuned to practice Reiki. You’ll be able to perform self-Reiki, Reiki on others, and even distance Reiki. The comprehensive instruction and hands-on practice during the workshop will give you the confidence and tools to start using Reiki immediately in your own life and for others.
  • What should I bring to the workshop?
    You’ll need to bring a copy of the "Drawing Reiki Symbols Guide," which is provided in the Reiki Training Materials & Resources module in the Soul-Smudge Classroom. Please review the resources module and complete the homework assignment before class, which involves practicing drawing Reiki symbols using the provided guides. We will provide any additional materials, including a training manual and necessary tools. You’re welcome to bring a notebook if you’d like to take extra notes. You are also encouraged to bring a snack and drink (in a spill proof container). You may bring a sweater or small blanket if you tend to get cold. Dress comfortably, as we will be meditating and practicing Reiki on each other.
  • Will I get a certificate after completing the workshop?
    Yes, upon successful completion of the Reiki workshop, you will receive a certificate of completion. I will personally sign off on all certifications as the lead instructor. Sample Certification:
  • Can I reschedule a workshop if I can’t attend?
    If you need to reschedule a workshop within 14 days of the start date, we can apply your payment to a future workshop of the same type. The rescheduled workshop must be completed within one year of the original start date. After one year, the payment will no longer be available, and a new payment will be required.
  • What if I need to reschedule a workshop but I’m paying with a payment plan?
    If you're on a payment plan, please note that the agreement is with Stripe, not Soul-Smudge, so payments must continue as originally scheduled even if the workshop is rescheduled. We cannot alter the payment schedule.
  • How do I prepare for my Akashic Record Clearing & Healing session?
    When you book your Akashic Record Clearing & Healing session, you will set an intention through the intake form provided. While it’s helpful to come with a specific intention or question, it’s just as important to arrive with an open mind and a willingness to engage in the process. If your session is being done remotely, ensure you are in a calm, quiet space where you can fully focus. Be ready to make the necessary shifts and embrace the changes that come from this healing work.
  • What can I expect during an Akashic Record Clearing & Healing session?
    During the session, we will explore the patterns, blocks, or restrictions present in your Akashic Record and discuss how they may be impacting your life. I will help you identify these energies, and together we’ll consider how you might begin to shift them, though the steps you take may be unique to your personal journey. After our discussion, I will re-enter your record and place a clearing request, which is activated by your free will and choice to shift these patterns.
  • What should I do after an Akashic Record Clearing & Healing session?
    After an Akashic Record Clearing & Healing session, you’ll receive a "homework" assignment to support your integration process. Here’s what to expect: Daily Reading: You will be given a daily reading to do out loud for 21 days. This reading is a version of the clearing request I made on your behalf in the Akashic Records. It actively involves you in the process, helping to shift patterns and integrate the information into your consciousness. Conscious Participation: By reading the assignment out loud with intention, you engage both your conscious and subconscious minds, aiding the healing process and helping the new energy settle in. Self-care: In addition to your homework, be mindful of energy shifts and practice grounding, hydration, and rest during this period. Affirmations: Repeating the affirmation or clearing statement daily helps reinforce the healing work done in the session.
  • How do I activate the clearing request?
    Once the clearing request is made, you’ll activate it through your own free will and intention. I provide a 21-day homework assignment, which works like an affirmation, to help you consciously release the old patterns. This practice empowers you to ask for the release yourself and integrate the shifts into your daily life.
  • How does free will play a role in the session?
    Free will is a vital part of this process. No part of the session forces a change upon you. If you decide, even after the clearing request is submitted, that you don’t want to make the change, the shift won’t occur. Everything that happens is based on your choice and readiness to embrace the change.
  • How long does it take to see results?
    This work sets you on a path, and the process unfolds based on your own willingness and readiness to shift. It can move quickly or take time, depending on where you are in your personal journey. It’s not an instant fix but a gradual progression that requires dedication. With commitment, you will start to see the shifts take place.
  • Why do you need my name, birth details, and location for an Akashic Record Clearing & Healing session?
    Your full name, birth name (if different), date of birth, and location of birth act as an energetic fingerprint, helping me access the correct Akashic Record for you. These details are essential for connecting with your unique record. While providing your exact time of birth is not required, it can be useful as an additional identifier. In some cases, I may run an astrological natal chart to gain further insights into your energy, though I do not offer astrology consultations at this time. Rest assured, I do not gather personal information from external sources like Google—your information is only used to energetically connect with your records.
  • Do you gather personal information about me from other sources?
    No, I do not use external sources, such as Google, to gather personal information for Akashic Record Clearing & Healing sessions. The information you provide during booking is solely used to energetically locate your Akashic Record and ensure I am connecting with the correct record for you.
  • Why is a deposit required for Akashic Record Clearing & Healing?
    A 50% deposit is required when booking an Akashic Record Clearing & Healing session because a significant amount of work is done prior to the appointment. This includes going into meditation to access the information and preparing the information used during your session.
  • What is a past life regression?
    A past life regression is a guided process that helps you access memories or experiences from previous lifetimes. This can provide insights into your current life patterns, relationships, or challenges. Through a relaxed and focused state, I guide you into exploring these past experiences, helping you uncover valuable lessons for healing and personal growth.

    A remote Energetic Space Realignment session typically takes about 90 minutes.   • Can this service be done remotely if I’m not local?
    Yes, Energetic Space Realignment can be done remotely with the same effectiveness as an in-person session. During a remote session, we work with the energy of your space from a distance using Reiki, Akashic Records, and other advanced techniques. Remote sessions allow us to access the energy of your space without the need for an on-site visit, making this service available to clients regardless of location. Remote sessions can be conveniently booked directly by the client using our online scheduler.
  • What types of spaces can be cleared?
    Energetic Space Realignment can be applied to a wide range of spaces, including: Homes (apartments, houses, condos) Workspaces (offices, studios, retail spaces) Land (gardens, farms, outdoor areas) Commercial properties (restaurants, shops, salons) Whether the space is large or small, residential or commercial, the energy can be cleared and realigned to create a harmonious and balanced environment. *You must be the legal owner or renter of the space to authorize an energy clearing.
  • How long do I have to use my session package?
    Your session package is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. After this period, you’ll receive a 60-day grace period to complete any remaining sessions. Once the grace period has passed, any unused sessions will no longer be redeemable.
  • Can I transfer my package to someone else?
    Packages are non-transferable, meaning they must be used by the original purchaser. However, you may use your package to book a session for someone else. Just make sure to enter the other person’s name, phone number, and email in the “Your Information” section when scheduling the appointment.
  • What if I lose my package code?
    If you lose your package code, don't worry! You can recover it by visiting the Payment screen during the booking process and clicking the "Check Code Balance" link. You can either enter your package code or the email associated with the purchase to retrieve your balance.
  • Can I get a refund for unused sessions?
    Packages are non-refundable. If you decide not to use all your sessions, there is no option for a refund or cash payout. Be sure to use your sessions before the validity period ends.
  • Can I check my remaining package balance?
    Yes, you can check your remaining balance in the scheduler’s Payment screen during the booking process. Look for the “Check Code Balance” link to view the balance using your package code or associated email.
  • How do I book a session using my package?
    o book a session using your package, simply click the Schedule Appointment button on the website, enter the scheduler, and choose the Session Packages category to see the available options. Add your chosen package to the cart, and during the payment step, enter your package code to apply your credit.
  • Can I change the type of session in my package?
    No, each package is tied to specific session types as outlined at the time of purchase. The package must be used for the sessions specified in the package description.
  • What happens if I cancel my session less than 24 hours in advance?
    If you cancel or reschedule your session with less than 24 hours' notice (48 hours for Akashic Record sessions), the session will be deducted from your package balance as if it was used. We recommend rescheduling or canceling with sufficient notice to avoid this. For further details, visit our Package Terms and Conditions.
  • How do I purchase a session package?
    To purchase a session package, click the Schedule Appointment button on our website. Once you’re in the scheduler, select the Session Packages category to view all available packages. From there, you can add your preferred package to the cart and complete your purchase.
  • Where do I find the Session Packages category?
    After clicking the Schedule Appointment button, you’ll be taken to the scheduler. You’ll see a list of appointment categories. Scroll down until you find Session Packages, click on it, and you’ll see a full listing of all packages available for purchase.
  • Can I purchase a session package directly from the website?
    Yes! You’ll need to go through our scheduler to purchase a session package. The Schedule Appointment button will direct you there, and the packages are available within the Session Packages category.
  • How do I book a session after purchasing a package?
    Once you’ve purchased your package, use our scheduler to book each of your sessions. Immediately after purchase, you'll see a confirmation screen with a button that says "Use Package." You'll also receive a confirmation email that contains a "Schedule" link. By using these links, the system will recognize your package and show you the categories relevant to your package along with adjusted pricing. Once in the scheduler, proceed with selecting your package sessions by selecting the appointment category, type, practitioner, date/time, etc. The system will automatically track your package balance, so your sessions will be deducted as you book them.
  • Can I use my package for someone else?
    Yes, you can book a session for someone else using your package. Just be sure to enter their name, phone number, and email address in the "Your Information" section of the scheduler. You’ll apply your package code on the payment page to credit the session.
  • Can I see my remaining session balance?
    Yes! You can check your package balance during the booking process. When you reach the Payment screen, click the “Check Code Balance” link and either enter your package code or the email associated with your package to see the remaining balance.
  • What happens if I lose my package code?
    If you lose your package code, don't worry—you can recover it! When you go to the Payment screen during booking, click the “Check Code Balance” link. You’ll have two options: Check by Code – If you know your code, enter it to view your balance. Check by Email – If you don’t remember the code, enter the email address associated with the package. The system will send an email to that address with the package code and balance information. If you're unable to retrieve it through this method, contact us directly, and we will assist you.
  • How do I purchase a Soul-Smudge gift certificate?
    Gift certificates can be purchased in increments of $50, $75, $100, and $200. To buy one, visit our Appointment Scheduler by clicking the "Schedule Appointment" button on the website. Scroll down to the "Gift Certificates" section, choose the amount you’d like, and follow the prompts to complete your purchase. After your purchase, you can print the gift certificate or email it to the recipient.
  • How can I redeem a Soul-Smudge gift certificate?
    You can redeem your gift certificate in two ways: Option 1: Visit the Appointments page on our website, select your desired service, and click "Schedule Appointment." During booking, you will be prompted to enter the gift certificate code on the Payment page. Option 2: Click the link provided in the email when you received your certificate. This will take you directly to the Appointment Scheduler, where you can select a service and book your appointment.
  • Can I use a gift certificate for online courses?
    No, Soul-Smudge gift certificates cannot be used for purchases made in the Soul-Smudge Classroom. This is due to different payment processing platforms for services and workshops.
  • Can I use a gift certificate for any service?
    Yes, Soul-Smudge gift certificates can be applied to all services available through our appointment scheduler. However, they cannot be used for purchases in the Soul-Smudge Classroom (i.e. digital downloads, Reiki training classes) due to different payment platforms. Please note that only one gift certificate can be applied per transaction.
  • Can I combine gift certificates?
    Unfortunately, our booking system only allows one gift certificate code to be used per transaction.
  • What happens if my gift certificate balance is less than the deposit required for Akashic Record Clearing & Healing?
    If your remaining balance after applying your gift certificate is less than the required $135 deposit for Akashic Record Clearing & Healing (for example, you use a $200 gift certificate, which then leaves a $70 balance), our booking system will require the full remaining balance to be paid upfront. In this case, your session will be fully paid in advance, and no additional payment will be due on the day of your appointment.
  • Do gift certificates expire?
    No, Soul-Smudge gift certificates do not expire. They can be used at any time for services offered through our appointment scheduler.
  • Can I redeem my gift certificate for cash?
    No, gift certificates are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • Can I transfer my gift certificate to someone else?
    Gift certificates are non-transferable and can only be used by the original purchaser or intended recipient. However, you may book a session for someone else using your gift certificate. Simply list the other person’s name in the information section of the scheduler so we know who to expect. The gift certificate will remain under your name.
  • What if my gift certificate doesn’t cover the full cost of a session?
    If your gift certificate does not cover the full cost of a session, you will be prompted to pay the remaining balance when booking your appointment. This applies to all services, except for Akashic Record Clearing & Healing sessions (see the question "What happens if my gift certificate balance is less than the deposit required for Akashic Record Clearing & Healing?" for details).
  • What happens if I lose my gift certificate code?
    If you lose your gift certificate code, don't worry—you can recover it! When you go to the Payment screen during booking, click the “Check Code Balance” link. You’ll have two options: Check by Code – If you know your code, enter it to view your balance. Check by Email – If you don’t remember the code, enter the email address associated with the gift certificate. The system will send an email to that address with the gift certificate code and balance information. If you're unable to retrieve it through this method, contact us directly, and we will assist you.
  • How can I pay for my session?
    Payment for sessions is due at the end of the appointment unless otherwise agreed. A valid credit card is required to reserve your appointment, and it will be charged at the end of your session.   • Can I pay with cash?
    Yes, exact cash payments are accepted, but please note that we do not keep change in the office.
  • When do I pay for my session?
    Payment is collected at the end of the session. We require a valid credit card to reserve your appointment, and the card on file will be charged after the session concludes. If you prefer to pay with a different card or with exact cash, please let us know at the time of your appointment.
  • Are tips accepted?
    Tipping is appreciated but not required. If you’d like to leave a tip, please let us know before the session concludes, as we will add the tip amount to the price of the session before running your card.
  • How does payment for Akashic Record Healing work?
    For Akashic Record Healing sessions, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance will be collected at the end of the session.
  • Can I get a refund on my Akashic Record Healing deposit?
    The deposit is fully refundable if the session is canceled more than 48 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment. If you cancel within 48 hours or fail to attend your appointment (no-show), the deposit is non-refundable.
  • Is Energetic Space Realignment refundable?
    No, Energetic Space Realignment is a non-refundable service. Due to the nature of energy work, we cannot guarantee specific results, as individual experiences may vary. However, we are committed to providing high-quality service and addressing any concerns you may have during the process. Please note: While our energy healing techniques are designed to enhance the energetic balance of your space, they are not a substitute for medical, psychological, or professional services. We recommend consulting a licensed healthcare provider for any physical or psychological concerns.
  • Are session packages refundable?
    No, session packages are non-refundable. However, they do not expire, and any canceled sessions with proper notice will be credited back to your package balance for future use.
  • Are refunds available for services or workshops?
    All sales for services such as Reiki sessions, Akashic Record Healing, and Past Life Regressions are final. For Reiki training workshops, refunds are available up to 14 days before the start of the class. After that, no refunds will be issued. However, you can reschedule a workshop within one year if needed.
  • Can I get a refund for digital downloads or online courses?
    No refunds are available for digital downloads or online courses, as they are accessible immediately after purchase.
  • Do you offer payment plans for workshops?
    Yes! Payment plans are available for Reiki training workshops. You can choose to pay in installments when registering for a workshop. This allows you to spread out the cost over several payments, making it more convenient to join our classes.
  • What happens if I cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours before my session?
    For all sessions except Akashic Record sessions (such as Reiki, Past Life, etc.), we request at least 24 hours' notice for cancellations to allow us to adjust the schedule. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, the full session price will be charged to the card on file.
  • What happens if I miss my appointment?
    If you miss your appointment without notifying us in advance (no-show), the full session price will be charged to the card on file. No-shows prevent us from serving other clients, so by booking an appointment, you agree to this policy. If no-shows occur consistently (defined as two or more times), we may not be able to accept future bookings.
  • What happens if I’m late for my appointment?
    If you arrive within 15 minutes of your scheduled time, we will still accommodate you, but the session will end at the originally scheduled time. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we will need to reschedule, and the full session price will be charged as a late cancellation fee.
  • How much notice do I need to give to avoid a no-show fee?
    Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule. Failure to do so will result in the full session fee being charged.
  • What happens if I need to cancel a session booked with a package?
    If you cancel a session with proper notice, the session will be credited back to your package balance. However, if you miss the appointment without giving prior notice (less than 24 hours), the session will not be credited back to your package balance, in alignment with our regular no-show policy.
  • What if I’m sick on the day of my appointment?
    If you’re feeling unwell, please contact us as soon as possible to reschedule or convert your session to a distance session. We ask that you do not attend in-person sessions while sick to ensure the health and safety of everyone. While we typically charge a cancellation fee for late notice, we handle illness-related cancellations on a case-by-case basis to prevent misuse of this policy.
  • Can my session be switched to a distance session if I’m sick?
    Yes, if you’re feeling unwell but still wish to have your session, we can convert it to a distance session. Please let us know in advance to make the necessary arrangements.
  • What happens if I get sick right before or during Reiki training?
    If you become ill right before a Reiki training workshop, please contact us as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to reschedule you for a future workshop date. Since full attendance is required for certification, if you fall ill during the workshop, you’ll need to complete the missed portion at a future training.
  • What if the practitioner is unwell?
    If the practitioner becomes ill, we will reschedule your appointment for a time when we can provide the best possible service.
  • What is the cancellation policy for Akashic Record sessions?
    A 50% deposit is required at booking. You can cancel with a full refund of the deposit if done more than 48 hours in advance of the appointment. For cancellations within 48 hours, the deposit is non-refundable, but you won’t be charged the remaining balance. For no-shows, remaining 50% to equal the full session price will be charged to the card on file.
